Founding of I Create

The founders of I Create, Inc., Harsh and Aruna Bhargava, while visiting India during the Kargil war in 1999 learnt that 100,000 men had shown up for 120 positions advertised by the army.

A riot broke out, the police opened fire, and three young men died. This drove them to start an organization that would help create jobs and job creators and entrepreneurs through entrepreneurship training in India.

First I Create Center in Jaipur, Rajasthan launched

I Create starts working with youth in Educational Institutions, Polytechnics, Vocational Institutes, and with drop-outs, unemployed, women, SHG, Housewives, Destitutes, Devadasis, Widows, Sex workers, Transgenders, Adivasis, Army Jawans etc.

Change the Mind Set program launched

Change the Mind Set program was launched, aimed at the youth in the age of 17-21 years from educational institutions, Polytechnics, Vocational training institutes and anyone who would like to convert their passion, skills or hobbies into a business.

1st National Business Plan Competition (NBPC) at Jaipur, Rajasthan

The CMS program culminated in the National Business Plan Competition. Selected students from various centers participated and competed in the NBPC. The rationale of this program was mainly to help students to look at Entrepreneurship as a career option instead of looking for jobs

Amrit Fund Created

Amrit Fund was created in memory of Late Amrit Rai Kapoor, father of Col. Vijay Kapoor, advisor, I Create India, to help aspiring entrepreneurs to start their business.

MAGIC (Mentor and Angel Group of I Create) Fund Created

MAGIC (Mentor and Angel Group of I Create) Fund is a donation-based seed capital assistance fund. This fund has been created by I Create India through the generous contributions of many individuals and organizations.

One Crore of MAGIC Fund has helped more than 300 beneficiaries to start and upgrade their businesses successfully.

Partnership with Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE), Govt.of Kerala

KASE partnering with I Create conducted Entrepreneurship Training for selected Govt. ITIs as part of the I-STEP initiative. I-STEP is an acronym for International Skills Training & Employment Program. The ITIs are funded by the Department of Employment and Training, Government of Kerala and is fully targeted at students from poor economic background.

I Create India partnered with the Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports, Govt. of Karnataka. Delivered Skills and Entrepreneurship Training for youth in the age group of 18-35 years.

MoU with DIAV

I Create India, through MoU with Directorate of Indian Army Veterans began establishing and operating Business Incubation Centers (BIC) at different army locations. Under this flagship program, it started providing army veterans with training in Entrepreneurial skills and mentoring support to prepare their business plans, along with hand-holding support once the business was started.
