I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for the remarkable efforts and impactful initiatives that I Create in association with HCLFoundation has undertaken in training Indian Army Veterans in the realm of entrepreneurship.

The establishment of Business Incubation Centers in Bangalore and Lucknow has provided invaluable support and opportunities for veterans. With the aim of empowering these individuals, HCLFoundation and I Create have cultivated this partnership with the Army, effectively redeploying the skills that veterans have developed throughout their service. It is inspiring to witness how they have nurtured their skills and transformed their army experience into valuable assets for their new ventures.

Since 2019, these centers have created 650+ entrepreneurs and generated around 1,200 jobs with an investment of approximately ₹ 20 crores, all from their own funds. The dedication and commitment displayed by the I Create team have played a pivotal role in helping these brave men and women transition from army life to becoming successful entrepreneurs.

The approach taken to educate and equip veterans with the necessary skills to mitigate risks in their entrepreneurial journeys is vital for their success. It is heartening to know that they can embrace their new ventures with resilience and optimism. We take pride in offering comprehensive training and mentoring, thereby facilitating their transition into roles as job creators in post-army life.

I Create has developed an Entrepreneurship Development process very effectively. We have partnered with them to offer the same to the veterans from the Indian Army. The creation of Business Incubation Centers (BICs) by I Create, specifically tailored to the needs of Indian Army veterans, represents a pioneering and impactful approach to post-retirement entrepreneurial support.

These BICs empower veterans to create sustainable employment opportunities, not only for themselves but also for their communities. Given that many veterans hail from rural areas and tend to initiate their ventures locally, this initiative has the potential to reduce, and possibly reverse, trends of urban migration. Additionally, it significantly boosts the self-esteem of veterans, allowing them to emerge as role models and catalysts for change within their communities.
